First:    Understand your need.

     "You are a sinner"

Romans 3:10

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23 

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Second: Perceive God's concern.

       "You are loved"

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Third:  Weigh the consequences.

     "You are separated from God by sin"

Romans 6:23a  For the wages of sin is death;

Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

Revelation 20:14-15

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. 

Fourth:  Hear about the cure.

     "God has provided deliverance."

Romans 5:8-9

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 

Romans 6:23b

But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast. 

I Corinthians 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 

Fifth:  Exercise genuine belief in the gospel.

     "Salvation from sin is through Christ."

John 1:12

But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you are ready to trust Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, take time right now to pray, confessing your sin and asking Him to save you.

 

When you trust Jesus, He is faithful to do what He said He would - He forgives, saves, and will keep you. 

1 John 5:13

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
